Calculating Costs For Your Catered Event
  
Your final bill is composed of a number of items, depending on the details of your event. A price per person is quoted for your menu selection. For all events, we request a 48 hour guarantee of the number of guests. Our final food preparation for your event is based on the guaranteed number you supply. Billing for your event will be based on the larger of the guaranteed number or the actual number of guests.
The cost of a pick-up order will be the cost of food plus the applicable taxes. All other orders will carry a delivery charge or a service charge. The delivery charge covers the cost of delivering the food order to your location. Depending on the needs of the client this charge may also cover the set-up of the food items and the retrieval of the equipment.
If you have requested staffing for your event, there will be a service charge in place of a delivery charge. The service charge is determined by the needs of the event and the requests of the client.
Some events will require rental equipment such as table linens, china, glassware, silverware and other items like punch fountains, tents, dance floors and chair covers. The rental charge is generally the charge to rent these items from the local rental companies. In some cases, certain items can be rented directly from ENCORE; arrangements for these items and their charges will be discussed during the planning of the event.

Taxes on all food and beverage items are comprised of a local meal tax of 6.5% and the state sales tax of 5%. Service charges are subject to only the state sales tax of 5%. Delivery charges are not subject to tax.
Once a menu has been decided and priced, the delivery charge or service charge will be quoted and the rental charges determined. At this point, a reasonable quote for your event can be given. When you decide on ENCORE...a catering service as the caterer for your event, we require a $100.00 deposit to hold a date on our calendar as a definite booking. This deposit is refundable until 30 days before your event at which time we will require an additional deposit equal to 50% of your total cost. The final payment will be due on the day of the event. ENCORE accepts payment by cash, check, MasterCard, Visa and American Express.
